Guillermo del Toro’s “Pale Man” in his 2006 film, El laberinto del fauno, was inspired by Francisco Goya’s painting, Saturn Devouring His Son.


del Toro has also stated that the Pale Man has come to represent the facelessness of politics and organized religion.
